The Multiple Facets of School Bus Safety
It's no question that school bus safety is top of mind for everyone across the nation, particularly after the November tragedy in Chattanooga. But these events are not the norm, they are the exception. In fact, students are about 70 times more likely to get to school safely if they take the school bus instead of traveling by car (American School Bus Council).
Safe school transportation is the result of partnerships across various stakeholders. Join us Sunday, March 26 at NSBA for a panel discussion exploring the multiple dimensions of school transportation safety. If you can't make it, please feel free to stop by Booth #433 to speak with First Student representatives about your district's safety program.
Featured Panelists:
- Gary Catapano, SVP of Safety, FirstGroup America
- Kathy Furneaux, Exe. Dir., Pupil Transportation Safety Institute
- Leslie Kilgore, VP of Engineering, Thomas Built Buses
- Dr. Kathleen Williams, Superintendent of Schools, Wausau School District
- Panel Moderator: Anthony Huey, President of Reputation Management, LLC
