At a time when the nation faces an urgent need to rebuild and sustain its industrial capacity, our mission is to help students, educators, and families understand the people, skills, and pathways behind shipbuilding, advanced manufacturing, and the national security mission they support.

The maritime industrial base requires hundreds of thousands of skilled workers across thousands of suppliers nationwide to meet current and future fleet demands. Career opportunities span a wide range of fields, from skilled trades and advanced manufacturing to engineering, digital technologies, logistics, and business operations, all of which are essential to mission success. Workforce readiness for these roles must begin early—long before career decisions are finalized—through exposure, awareness, and meaningful learning experiences.
