The Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream is pleased to invite you to a special Educator Open House on October 21, 2026, to engage with fellow educators over light refreshments, learn about student visits to the Center and educator resources, and take home a complimentary poster and lesson plan. You’ll learn why the Center is the perfect place to bring your students on an adventure they’ll never forget!

What is the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream? 

The mission of the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream is to carry forward the values of the American Dream by strengthening freedom, opportunity, and hope and serving as a source of inspiration for anyone with a dream and the drive to achieve it.

Located in a restored historic building complex in Washington, DC, on Pennsylvania Avenue steps from the White House and across from the US Treasury, the Center contains a one-of-a-kind collection of interactive galleries that champion the American Dream by highlighting four pillars:    

Education & the Educator   
Financial Empowerment & Access to Capital   
Entrepreneurship & Innovation   
Health & Medical Research

The Center gives students the opportunity to step beyond the classroom, make real-world connections, and see themselves in the story of the American Dream.

Why Should I Bring My Students Here? 

As your students explore the Center, they’ll hear from the Hologram Ambassadors, like Khan Academy founder Sal Khan, and experience a 270-degree theater featuring a short film from everyday people who have accomplished their dream… and helped others accomplish theirs.   

From world leaders to famous athletes to everyday people, the Center will help your students visualize their potential beyond the classroom and see themselves in extraordinary ways. Our education team can also curate a special day to complement your lesson plans and engage your students in guided tours and activities. 

The Center offers school and youth audiences a variety of learning opportunities, including school visits, guided experiences, hands-on workshops, and learning resources.
